Before Oregon can eend a second volunteer regiment to the front she must furnish men to fill the ranks of the one she has already tent out. The order for this came yesterday, and Adjutant-General Tuttle will lose no time in getting the men together. Lord, governor of the state of Oregon, in compliance with such order and request, do proclaim and make known to alt persons desiring to enlist in the Oregon regiment aforesaid that the proportion' ate number of men for enlistment, to which the different localities of the state will be entitled, is as follows: McMlmivllle 14 Hose burg 14 i Asiiimm it Hon. W. B. Ellis, congressman from the aeoond dietriot of Oregon, will retire on March 4th, 1899, and will be puoceed- ed by Hon. M. A. Moody.
